Finland

From the northernmost lands comes a beautiful Nordic country of thousands of lakes and islands, Finland. The Ice Age ended nearly 10.000 years ago and formed the fresh water lakes and rivers, and deep underground water resources, which makes Finland a land rich in water. Precisely, there are 187,888 lakes and 179,584 islands.

Finland has very strict environmental regulation to protect the water reserves against ground and climatic pollution. The sparse population and the perfectly unspoiled natural environment give Finland one of the freshest drinking waters in the world.
